Minnewaska Park Preserve Reopens

Minnewaska State Park Preserve re-opened effective Thursday, February 11, 2010, from hazardous ice condition closure.

Minnewaska received six inches of snow on Wednesday, February 10, and as a result has very good cross country ski conditions. The Park Preserve will be open for cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and hiking in designated areas. Snowshoe rentals are available at the park office

The following carriageroads have been groomed:
Lake Minnewaska, Upper Awosting, Castle Point, Sunset, and Beacon Hill.
