Taconic Trail Crew Work Trip

Registration is closed for this event
Ever wonder how trails are built and restored? If you aren’t afraid to get a little dirty, this hands-on look at how great trails are made is for you!

Join our Taconic Trail Crew to get a taste of what trail building's all about.

Volunteers will assist the Taconic Crew in their efforts to improve and renovate the Wilkinson Memorial Trail in Hudson Highlands State Park. This includes various work including stone moving and structure building, drainage construction, and cutting/excavation of sections of re-routed trail. The result will be a more durable trail better suited to handle the huge amount of traffic from users hiking Breakneck Ridge.

Connect with nature, meet great people, and make a difference. No experience is necessary!
