National Public Lands Day of Volunteer Service at Sterling Forest

Registration is closed for this event
Celebrate National Public Lands Day by spending a few hours helping our Palisades Trail Crew in Sterling Forest State Park!

The Trail Conference is working hard to renovate the McKeags Meadow Loop Trail in Sterling Forest State Park, but we need your help! We’re looking for adventure-seekers who aren’t afraid to get a little dirty, enjoy being outdoors, and want to give back.

Just bring long pants and sturdy shoes that can get dirty, water and a snack, and we'll give you the PPE tools and training you need to help create a safe, enjoyable trail for hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrians to enjoy.

Required Forms

  • All volunteers must fill out the online OPRHP Volunteer Form and select "Sterling Forest State Park" before the work trip.
  • For volunteers under age 18, please submit a Guardian Consent form to volunteer@nynjtc.org prior to the volunteer day or bring the paper form the day of. A parent or guardian must be present for the volunteer day.
