West Jersey Trail Crew

West Jersey Trail Crew
Northwest Jersey

Meeting Place:

The West Jersey Trail Crew works in several Northwest New Jersey parks. We meet at various locations and trailheads depending on our projects.

Work Days:

The Crew works Spring (mid-April through end of June) and Fall (early September through mid-November) schedules.

About the Crew

The West Jersey Trail Crew, active since 2000, does all aspects of trail work in western New Jersey's parks and forests.  The Crew's work includes restoring trails that have been damaged by overuse, remediating erosion with water bars and check dams, constructing bridges, installing stepping stone stream crossings, building stone retaining walls, installing rock (or timber) steps to support steep trails, and our favorite-building a completely new section of trail.
